After an accident of a German Pilot where the lower front wires came off the nose plate in flight, the manufacturer Jens Thomas, FLY FLUGSPORT GMBH & CO KG, Salzbergstrasse 88, A-6067 Absam, Tel: 0043-5223-43747, Fax: 0043-5223-43746, E-Mail: flywills@eunet.at, has issued the following safety note:

All owners of Wills Wing gliders having the lower front wires attached to the noseplate with a keyhole fitting and secured with a safety anchor (see picture), have to verify that each bolt protrudes the nut by at least one and a half threads.
The check has to be done before every take off.

Contact the manufacturer if less than one and a half complete threads protrude the nut.

The picture displays a bold sufficiently protruding the nut.
