Warning Hangglider

dhvlogo
Date19.12.2006
SubjectHangglider

Due to current circumstances, the DHV Technical department would like to stress the importance of enclosing the lead-in to a microlight towing line (between pilot and weak-link) in a length of protective hose. The lead-in should be at least 2 meters long, and made from pre-stretched rope.

The protective hose should firstly help prevent the lead-in becoming tangled with the trapeze on release, or when the tow line is not tensioned. Secondly, the protective hose should prevent whip-lash of the lead-in in the event of a weak-link breakage.
